Position your IT foundation for the future
IT managers of midsize businesses wrestle with increasing operational costs and an IT environment that requires the flexibility to adapt to new types of workloads. Your current infrastructure may be running well, but is it ready for new business growth? Today, IT can be a major contributor to the bottom line, by reducing costs but more importantly, by positioning your company to easily adapt to changes in markets and business needs to help increase revenue.
Why you should attend:

  • Hear how new affordable IBM POWER7 Systems can lower operational costs and provide the higher qualities of service required to run your business
  • Take a view at the complete IBM POWER7 Systems range : from the POWER7 Express Servers, starting at a few users , until the high end, highly scablable, Enterprise wide POWER7 Server.
  • Learn about new solutions for IBM i clients that reduce cost, complexity and implementation time for core business applications
  • Find out how Power Systems can help you realize new opportunities beyond the datacenter afforded by a smarter planet
  • See how other companies are positioned for the future with workload optimizing Power Systems
  • Review migration capabilities that can help you move from HP and Oracle Sun UNIX, and prior generation Power i environments with minimal risk and disruption
  • Hear the value that POWER7 and virtualization without limits provide real-life clients and the significance of the additions to the POWER7 family.
  • Learn how IBM Power Systems deliver innovations and value beyond other UNIX and x86 alternatives.
  • Find out about new Power Systems options for faster cloud deployment, business analytics, and other critical workloads requiring massive scale.

Virtual I/O Server (VIOS)

VIOS is virtualization software that runs in a separate partition whose purpose is to provide virtual storage, optical and networking resources to one or more client partitions. The most immediate benefit VIOS brings to an IBM i client partition is the ability to expand its storage portfolio to use open storage. VIOS is also a prerequisite for working with Power Blades for i.

We will position VIOS for IBM I and show the latest updates
